Anti-theft PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) System
The car-inspired PKE system consists of an attractively designed key fob, backed by robust engineering to ensure a high level of safety for your ZONTES. Just wear your ZONTES key by placing it in a wrist strap. With the key within 1.5 metres proximity, your bike gets unlocked; go far away – the bike gets locked automatically. Adopting advanced encryption technology, now your bike is impossible to be stolen !
Electronic Control | Premium back-lit switchgear
The auxiliary handle switches provides for electronic functionality. Tasks like unlocking your fuel tank or seat, with just a click of the button.
Aluminium alloy based components

Muscular fuel tank with galvanised liner
The tank has been designed aiming for muscular knee recesses for optimum rider triangle. Pressed from galvanized (zinc-coated) steel, now eliminate the clogging of fuel pump filter and the leakage of fuel tank due to rust. Pressed from galvanised steel, tank rust is a thing of the past.

Centre Mount Mono Shock
A centrally mounted mono shock softens the ride whilst delivering excellent control. Filled with high pressure nitrogen to ensure stability over long journeys and set with a small amount of pre-load, the rear suspension offers excellent comfort with reduced rider fatigue.
All Terrain Tyres
Complimenting the adventure motard styling are 110 mm (F) and 130mm (R) dual purpose tyres, which are the segment-widest adventure category tyres. These tyres not only perform great on tarmac but also in off-road and slippery conditions. Alongside increased straight-line stability, it also contributes to an enhanced adventure motard styling, specially from the rear.
Automotive grade stainless steel exhaust
Coupled with ‘cool-touch’ aluminium anti-hot plate, the (underbelly/stubby) stainless steel exhaust adheres the mass centralization approach. The automotive grade unit is corrosion resistance and ensures long service life. The exquisite design of the exhaust system also allows beautiful sound beat that is music to the ears.
Ergonomic Seat
Utilising the latest memory foam technology, the seat cushion offers comfort, even for the heavier riders. Ergonomic shaping gives excellent support to reduce fatigue, even on the longest of rides. Split seats allows for pillion removal and luggage box fitment.

Liquid cooled 4V engine
Running a high compression ratio of 12.5:1, the engine delivers power of 18PS @ 9250 rpm and torque of 16Nm @ 7500 rpm. This makes it one of most powerful and high torque 149cc SOHC LC4V engine globally. Another important feature of a high compression engine is low fuel consumption, an increasingly relevant feature in today’s world. To achieve this Zontes utilises the latest materials and technologies available to design a class beating engine.

Assist & Slipper Clutch
The race-inspired clutch uses two types of cams (an assist cam and a slipper cam), offering two functions. Along with lighter clutch lever pull, assist cam also enables the clutch torque capacity to be increased without gaining weight. When excessive engine braking occurs – as a result of quick downshifts (or an accidental downshift) – the slipper cam comes into play, forcing the clutch hub and operating plate apart. This relieves pressure on the clutch plates to reduce back-torque and help prevent the rear tyre from hopping and skidding.
